Tom Hopper, known for his roles in “Umbrella Academy” and “Game of Thrones,” stars alongside Emma Roberts in the upcoming comedic film “Space Cadet.” The movie follows Roberts’ character, Tiffany “Rex” Simpson, as she bluffs her way into NASA’s astronaut training program. Hopper plays Logan, the program director who discovers Rex’s deception and must decide her fate.
Hopper sees the film as an opportunity to promote equality in traditionally male-dominated environments like NASA. He describes the movie as having a “Legally Blonde” vibe, with an underdog protagonist who succeeds through wit and instinct.
In addition to “Space Cadet,” Hopper has been busy with other projects. He recently completed filming on a Western called “Place of Bones” with Heather Graham. He has also started work on a prequel to the series “The Terminal List,” where he plays a Navy SEAL character named Raife Hastings.
Hopper’s diverse roles showcase his ability to shift between lighthearted comedies and more intense dramas. He credits the success of his recent projects to the talented people he has worked with and the exciting challenges each role has brought.
