Clearing Your Phone’s Photo Library to Create More Storage Space

Is your phone storage running low? Do you spend ages scrolling through endless photos to find what you’re looking for? It’s time to clean up your photo library and free up space on your device. By using free tools that are probably already on your phone, you can easily streamline your storage.

Start by checking your storage space on your device. On Android, open Settings and select Storage. For Samsung Galaxy devices, open Settings, select Device Care or Device Maintenance, then tap Storage. On iPhone, open Settings, select General, then iPhone Storage.

Delete duplicates by using tools like Duplicates Cleaner for Android or Phone Cleaner for iOS. In Apple’s iOS Photos app, tap Albums, scroll down to Utilities, then tap Duplicates. Samsung Galaxy also has a similar tool in the My Files app.

You can also manually review and delete unnecessary photos and videos. Mobile systems keep deleted photos for at least 30 days before permanent deletion. Backup photos to a computer if needed. Take suggestions from Apple’s support site or Samsung’s site for further help.

Organize your photos by creating albums in Google Photos, Samsung’s Gallery app, or Apple’s Photos. By decluttering your device, you’ll be able to find photos faster and have more space for new content. It may take time, but the end result will be worth it.
