Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown had a slight mishap during the team’s championship parade on June 21 when he lost his custom “7uice” ring. However, Brown promised a “big reward” for whoever found it, and true to his word, a pair of Celtics fans located the missing jewelry and returned it to him. Brown expressed his gratitude on social media and even indicated that the fans would receive courtside seats at the ring ceremony during the Celtics’ home opener for the 2024-25 season.
In a video shared on Brown’s Instagram account, the fans were shown handing off the ring to a disguised Brown on Causeway Street. Brown, who was named Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP this past spring, also gave the fans signed basketballs and jerseys as a token of appreciation for their act of kindness.
Despite the ring mishap, Brown appeared to have a great time during the championship parade, interacting with over a million fans in attendance and wearing a t-shirt that took a playful jab at ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. The Celtics star’s positive attitude and gratitude towards the fans who found his lost ring exemplify the strong connection between players and supporters in Boston. Fans can look forward to seeing Brown and his teammates receive their championship rings in a memorable ceremony thanks to the efforts of these two dedicated fans.
