The 17th annual Fourth of July Pet Parade in Salisbury was a patriotic and colorful event, with dogs and their owners showing off their red, white, and blue spirit. Sponsored by Newburyport Bank and Salisbury Discount House, the event also included awards for categories such as “best lookalike” and “most patriotic outfit.” Scott Brown & The Diplomats performed on the Salisbury Oceanfront Stage after the parade.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes marched around the Broadway loop, showcasing their patriotic hats, kerchiefs, and vests. Stars and stripes were a common theme throughout the event, with participants embracing the holiday spirit. Maddy the toy poodle even rode in a patriotically decorated wagon.

Among the winners was Charlie, a Boston bull terrier, who took home the award for “most patriotic outfit.” The parade brought the community together to celebrate Independence Day in a fun and festive way.
