The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that 57-year-old David Sousa, a Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) worker, was tragically killed in a car accident on Route 24 in West Bridgewater. The incident occurred on Saturday night as Sousa was cleaning up debris on the northbound side of the road near the exit to Route 106.
Massachusetts State Police reported that Sousa was struck by a car around 9:30 p.m. and sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene following the incident.
