Former President Donald Trump’s nephew, Fred Trump III, has publicly stated that he will not be voting for his famous relative in the upcoming election. In his new memoir, Fred criticizes his uncle for allegedly making insensitive and racist remarks, including suggesting that disabled children should “just die.” Fred also recounts an incident from his childhood where he heard Donald Trump using racial slurs.
Trump’s campaign has denied these claims, calling them “completely fabricated.” However, other individuals, such as former producer on The Apprentice Bill Pruitt, have also accused Trump of making racist and misogynistic comments.
Fred Trump is not the only family member to criticize the former president. Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, released her own tell-all memoir in 2020, which included recordings of Trump’s sister calling him a “brat” and a “liar.”
Despite his disagreements with his uncle, Fred Trump says he still values their family relationship. He plans to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in the election, as the presumptive Democratic nominee. Fred acknowledges that while Trump has done “horrific things” to him, he is still family and intends to maintain a relationship with him. Overall, the Trump family continues to be divided in their opinions and support for the former president.
