Ethiopia’s Berihu Aregawi took the silver, edging out American Grant Fisher by two-hundredths of a second.
In the 4×400 mixed relay, Team USA set a new world record of 3 minutes 7.41 seconds in the opening heats, surpassing their previous mark set at the 2023 World Championships. The French team finished second in 3:10.60, cheered on by a home crowd at the Stade de France.
