A tragic incident occurred in North Attleborough on Sunday morning when a 62-year-old man from Hull was struck by an SUV and later pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital. The victim, identified as Daniel Stober, was hit by a 2013 GMC Acadia driven by a 24-year-old man from Attleboro. The driver remained at the scene and attempted to provide medical aid to Stober.
North Attleborough police responded to the incident at 178 Commonwealth Ave. at 9:24 a.m. and transported Stober to Sturdy Memorial Hospital before he was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver was interviewed by police and not arrested.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III’s office is currently investigating the crash as more details emerge.
