Two men were shot in a home in Dorchester, with one of the victims succumbing to the injuries.


Two men were shot, one fatally, inside a Dorchester home on Monday evening, according to Boston Police. Police responded to the shooting at 5 Trent St. at around 6:36 p.m. and found the two men with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other man’s injuries are considered non-fatal.

Deputy Superintendent Paul McLaughlin stated that the investigation is in its early stages, and police are working to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. A canvas of the neighborhood is being conducted to gather video footage and potential witnesses. No arrests have been made, and little information is available about potential suspects, although police believe there may have been more than one person involved in the shooting.

It is unclear if there was any prior relationship between the victims and suspects due to the early status of the investigation.
