Rookie Patriot JaQuae Jackson taken off the field on a cart after sustaining leg injury

In a preseason game against the Eagles, Patriots receiver JaQuae Jackson suffered a leg injury in the fourth quarter, which resulted in him being carted off the field. The team quickly announced that he would be out for the remainder of the game. Jackson, a 6-foot-1 rookie out of Rutgers, has only had one catch this preseason, a memorable 38-yard touchdown pass from Joe Milton in the opener against the Panthers. Unfortunately, the injury occurred on his only target of the game.

Signed as an undrafted free agent during the offseason, Jackson had previously been with the Falcons before being cut in June. He spent his senior season at Rutgers after playing three seasons at Division II California University of Pennsylvania. In 2023, he caught 22 passes for 361 yards.

Despite the setback, Jackson’s potential as a receiver is still evident, and the Patriots will be monitoring his recovery closely. This injury comes as a blow to both Jackson and the team, as he was starting to show promise with his performance. Hopefully, with proper rehabilitation and care, Jackson will be able to return to the field and continue making an impact for the Patriots.
