Westfield’s License Commission has granted an entertainment license to Xtra Credit Restaurant, a new establishment set to take over the space at 150-154 Elm Street previously occupied by Shenandoah’s. The restaurant-bar will be owned by Richard Dowling of Springfield, who will be leasing the building from Clifford Laraway of Westfield.
Dowling shared that the music entertainment at Xtra Credit Restaurant will most likely take place on the lower floor of the establishment. While he does not plan to have live bands, Dowling mentioned the possibility of featuring singers and hosting karaoke nights with a focus on country music.
The approval of the entertainment license marks a significant step in the establishment’s opening process, as it allows Xtra Credit Restaurant to provide a unique dining experience to the community of Westfield. With plans for a diverse range of musical entertainment, the restaurant-bar is expected to draw in a variety of patrons looking to enjoy a night out with good food and music.
As Xtra Credit Restaurant prepares to open its doors, the anticipation among residents and visitors is high, eager to see what the new establishment will bring to the local dining and entertainment scene. With the support of the License Commission, Dowling and Laraway are looking forward to welcoming guests to their new venture, showcasing a blend of culinary delights and toe-tapping tunes.
