Biles tweaked her calf during floor exercise warmups at the Paris Games but continued to compete, winning a silver medal in the Women’s Floor event and three gold medals. She assured fans that the injury was minor and that she was taking precautions for future events. Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens expressed admiration for her resilience and determination in overcoming the injury and continuing to excel in her sport. The couple met through a dating app in 2020 and have been supportive of each other’s athletic careers ever since.
