A Pennsylvania man was killed in a tragic two-car crash in Stoughton early Wednesday morning. The crash involved a black Cadillac with two men inside and a Toyota Highlander driven by a Quincy woman. The drivers were traveling in the same direction when the road merged from two lanes to one. Stoughton police and first responders were quick to arrive at the scene, and all three individuals involved were taken to Boston Medical Center. Unfortunately, the driver of the Cadillac, Michael Unman, 59, was pronounced dead at the hospital. His passenger, also from Pennsylvania, sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota, who had just finished an overnight shift at a hotel, was initially unconscious but later regained consciousness and has been communicating with health care providers. Both vehicles were towed for further investigation, but no charges or citations have been issued at this time. The crash caused damage to a telephone pole, resulting in a section of Turnpike Street being closed later that day. The community is mourning the loss of Michael Unman and hoping for a full recovery for the injured passenger.
