Photographer Gray Malin has released a photo series titled “Dogs of Boston” featuring 17 photos of dogs at iconic locations in the city, just in time for National Dog Day on Aug. 26. The series showcases Boston landmarks such as the Charles River Esplanade, Boston Common, Acorn Street, and the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Malin, who has a special connection to the city from his time at Emerson College, describes the series as a love letter to Boston.
One of the stars of the series is Cori Copley, a 6-year-old black Lab adopted by the Fairmont Copley Plaza in 2019 from the Guide Dog Foundation. Cori spends her days at the hotel, providing companionship to travelers, napping in the lobby, and exploring Copley Square. To celebrate the release of the gallery, Malin is offering a giveaway of a 2-night stay at the Fairmont, along with an autographed print of the hotel image. Details on how to enter the contest will be shared on Malin’s Instagram on Saturday.
Dog lovers who want to purchase the “Dogs of Boston” series can do so online. The collection captures the charm and beauty of Boston through the eyes of these furry companions, showcasing the city in a unique and delightful way. Whether you’re a Boston local or a dog enthusiast, this series is a must-have for anyone who appreciates the special bond between humans and their canine companions.
