Former New England Patriots quarterback, Brian Hoyer, and his family have adopted two Boxer dogs from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA). The adoption took place after MSPCA received 60 Boxer dogs from a single property in June. The Hoyers, who already had two Boxers, decided to adopt one of the puppies and foster the mother dog while she raised the puppy. After taking the dogs home, the family quickly realized they wanted to adopt both dogs.
The family named the mother dog “Coco” and her puppy “Chanel.” The adoption event took place at the Boston Adoption Center Clinic on August 20. Despite the Hoyers’ adoption, there are still more Boxer dogs available for adoption from the same surrender. The MSPCA is hosting an adoptathon event from August 19-25 to find forever homes for the remaining Boxers.
Mike Keiley, Vice President of Animal Protection at MSPCA, highlighted that several Boxers are still in foster care and waiting for their forever homes. The MSPCA continues to encourage people to adopt these dogs and provide them with a loving and permanent home. The adoption of the Boxer dogs by Brian Hoyer and his family showcases the importance of rescue organizations and the impact individuals can make by adopting pets in need.
