Netflix star, 45, succumbs to stomach cancer and bids farewell in touching video

Rob Pitts, also known as “The Rabbit” from the Netflix reality series “Tex Mex Motors,” passed away at the age of 45 from stomach cancer. His co-star Marcos “Scooter” Carrera paid tribute to him on Instagram, expressing his sadness at the loss of his friend. Pitts was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March while filming Season 2 of the show, as revealed in a video posted on his YouTube page titled “This Is Goodbye.”

Pitts’ videographer Jeff Trahan confirmed his death in the comments section, mentioning that he was with Pitts in Hospice at the time of his passing. Before his diagnosis, Pitts had been experiencing symptoms such as loss of appetite and acid reflux. He was officially diagnosed after his cast mate Jamie Hjelm took him to the emergency room. Despite his illness, Pitts remained positive, mentioning in the video that he had accomplished his dream of owning his own store, completing Season 2 of the show, and marrying the love of his life.

“Tex Mex Motors,” which follows Pitts and Scooter as they restore vintage cars from Mexico in El Paso, Texas, premiered in 2023 and was renewed for a second season earlier this year. Pitts’ message in his final video was to encourage others to listen to their bodies and seek medical attention when needed. With over 2.8 million views on YouTube, his words have resonated with many fans and friends who will miss him dearly.
