In Gaza, over 40,000 Palestinians have been killed and 94,000 injured in Israel’s military offensive. The conflict began when Hamas attacked Israel, leading to the capture of hostages. Clashes have also erupted in the West Bank, with Israel conducting large-scale military operations in Jenin.
Biden expressed optimism about reaching a ceasefire and ending the war. He stated that negotiations were progressing towards an agreement and emphasized the need for peace. Meetings are ongoing to finalize the details of a potential ceasefire.
