A truck rollover on the westbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike near Interstate 495 has caused the closure of the highway, with hazardous materials spilled on the road and injuries reported. The closure is expected to last through the evening commute, detouring traffic at Route 9 in Framingham. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. and by 3:20 p.m. a fuel leak from the truck was contained. Traffic was backed up beyond the Natick exit as of 4 p.m. Ben June reported being stuck in traffic for 45 minutes due to the accident. The Westborough Fire Department responded to the scene and moved the truck to one lane to allow traffic to pass. MassLive has requested comment from the authorities involved in the incident.
