Several high school volleyball teams across Western Massachusetts competed in matches on Friday, September 20. In Central Massachusetts, Chicopee High School secured a victory over Ware Jr./Sr. High School with a score of 3-0. In the Eastern division, Springfield Central High School also won with a score of 3-0 against Pope Francis Prep School. Independently, Baystate Academy Charter Public defeated Southwick Regional School with a score of 3-0.
Moving onto the Metro division, Springfield International Charter School secured a win with a score of 3-0 against Granby Jr./Sr. High School. Baystate Academy Charter Public also won in this division, beating Southwick Regional School 3-0. Additionally, Smith Vocational High School emerged victorious with a score of 3-2 against Franklin County Technical School.
In the Northern region, Smith Vocational High School secured another win with a score of 3-2 against Franklin County Technical School. In the Southern division, Chicopee High School won 3-0 against Ware Jr./Sr. High School, while Springfield International Charter School won 3-0 against Granby Jr./Sr. High School. Chicopee Comprehensive High School won against East Longmeadow High School with a score of 3-2, and Easthampton High School also emerged victorious with a score of 3-2 against West Springfield High School in the Western division.
Overall, it was a day of competitive matches and impressive victories for high school volleyball teams in Western Massachusetts.
