Officials are responding to an explosion at the Santa Maria Courthouse in Southern California that occurred just before 8:50 a.m. Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries in the incident, which was caused by an intentionally set improvised explosive device. Law enforcement is asking people to avoid the area as they investigate the situation. A man reportedly opened the door to a courtroom, yelled about the FDA poisoning people, and tossed the IED inside, causing smoke and panic. The man was detained by law enforcement.
