Hathaway reached out to Flaa via her publicist with a personal email apologizing for the bad interview, surprising the reporter. Flaa expressed gratitude for the apology and said she has no hard feelings about the incident. Hathaway also invited Flaa to interview her in May when she is promoting another movie, which the reporter eagerly accepted. Flaa thanked Hathaway for owning up to her mistake and appreciated the apology. Despite the uncomfortable interview in 2012, Flaa noted that Hathaway had been pleasant in later interviews.
