At 84 years old, Al Pacino revealed in a recent interview that his one-year-old son Roman regularly sends him text messages. Despite not living with Roman, Pacino maintains regular contact with him, even playing the harmonica together through video calls. The actor, who recently recovered from a severe case of COVID-19, expressed his determination to stay healthy for his fourth child, whom he became a father to at 83.
Pacino’s relationship with his son’s mother, Noor Alfallah, has evolved from being a couple to co-parents and good friends. The custody arrangement gives Alfallah physical custody of Roman, with Pacino having visitation rights and input on major decisions regarding the child. In addition to Roman, Pacino has three other children from previous relationships.
This newfound sense of purpose as a father and his near-death experience from COVID-19 have motivated Pacino to prioritize his health and well-being. He is currently promoting his autobiography, Sonny Boy, and working on a movie adaptation of King Lear. Despite his age, Pacino remains active and determined to stay around for his children, especially Roman, with whom he shares a special bond through the modern form of text messaging.
