Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has been unanimously approved as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, 17 months after reaching a deal. In a statement released on X, formerly Twitter, Brady expressed his excitement and honor at becoming part of the Raiders franchise and the city of Las Vegas. Brady, who is also FOX’s lead analyst, will face restrictions while on the job, including being prohibited from being in another team’s facility, witnessing practice, attending broadcast production meetings, criticizing game officials and other clubs, and abiding by the NFL’s gambling and anti-tampering policies. Brady signed a lucrative deal with FOX in 2022 before retiring from the NFL in 2023. His first season as a broadcaster has received mixed reviews, and the addition of ownership responsibilities may prove challenging. Despite the restrictions, Brady is eager to contribute to the Raiders organization, uphold its traditions, improve fan experiences, and most importantly, win football games.
