Led by quarterback Jon von Barta, the team struggled to find momentum in the first half but exploded in the second half with a dominant offensive performance. Von Barta completed 14-of-18 passes for 212 yards and accounted for four total touchdowns, leading his team to victory.
Despite challenging weather conditions and a strong Winthrop defense, Swampscott managed to take control of the game. Senior running back Henry Beuttler also made a significant impact with 117 yards and two touchdowns.
