Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris will be joined by former Rep. Liz Cheney on a three-state swing through key suburban counties in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Longtime Republican strategist Sarah Longwell and conservative radio host Charlie Sykes will moderate the events, which are intended to be conversations with voters. Cheney, who was recently ousted as chair of the House Republican Conference for criticizing Trump, has endorsed Harris and become a vocal surrogate for her campaign. Cheney was one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump over the Jan. 6 Capitol attack and served on the House select committee investigating the insurrection. Longwell, founder of the Republican Accountability Project, and Sykes, a former Milwaukee radio host who is now a critic of Trump, will add their perspectives to the events. Sykes has endorsed Harris, emphasizing the need to do more than just oppose Trump. The events aim to reach out to Republican voters who may be disillusioned with the direction of the party under Trump and provide an opportunity for dialogue and discussion.
