Man facing charges for inappropriate behavior on flight to Boston to admit guilt

Krishna Kunapuli, a man accused of masturbating on a flight to Boston and making unwanted sexual advances towards a fellow passenger, has reached an agreement to plead guilty. Court records show that Kunapuli will plead guilty to one count of lewd, indecent, and obscene acts while in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States. As part of the plea deal, he will serve 24 months of probation and is required to stay away from and have no contact with the woman who accused him of making advances. He also agreed to delete any photos he had taken of her.

During the Etihad Airlines flight from Abu Dhabi to Boston, Kunapuli allegedly made unwanted sexual advances towards a woman on the plane and later began masturbating in view of fellow passengers. He also offered the woman $5,000 as a gift and began touching her hair despite her protests.

After admitting to masturbating in his seat during the flight, Kunapuli’s attorney stated that he lives in India with his wife, mother, and children. Prosecutors have not disclosed when the plea agreement will be formalized in court.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting others’ boundaries and the consequences of inappropriate behavior in public spaces.
