Trump chooses Miller, Stefanik, and Homan

President-elect Donald Trump has started selecting key aides for his second administration, including Stephen Miller as deputy chief of staff for policy, Lee Zeldin as administrator of the EPA, and Tom Homan as a “border czar.” Trump has also chosen Rep. Elise Stefanik as the next ambassador to the U.N. and Rep. Mike Waltz as his national security adviser. The appointments come as Republicans are expected to maintain control of the House. Trump is expected to tap Sen. Marco Rubio as Secretary of State and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as head of Homeland Security. He has also asked Florida congressman Mike Waltz to serve as his national security adviser and Lee Zeldin, a former New York congressman, to lead the EPA. Stephen Miller, one of Trump’s longest-serving immigration advisers, has been named deputy chief of staff for policy. Elise Stefanik, a major ally of Trump in Congress, has been chosen as the next U.N. ambassador. These appointments come as Trump prepares for his second term in office.
