Bruins defenseman on the mend, nearing return from injury

The Bruins may soon have some much-needed help on the blue line as Andrew Peeke returned to practice after being out with an upper-body injury. Coach Jim Montgomery mentioned that Peeke is progressing well and could potentially make his return to the lineup soon. However, his availability for the next game is still uncertain depending on how he reacts to contact practice the next day.

Peeke himself mentioned feeling good and progressing faster than expected, which is good news for a team missing key players like Hampus Lindholm and Mark Kastelic. Lindholm is on injured reserve with a lower-body injury expected to keep him out for weeks, while Kastelic is day-to-day after leaving a recent game.

Brad Marchand, the team’s captain, also missed practice but Montgomery stated it was simply a maintenance day for him. In other news, Riley Tufte was not with the team after being sent back to Providence from the AHL. Tufte was recalled ahead of a recent game but has since returned to the AHL.

Overall, the Bruins are hopeful to have Peeke back in the lineup soon to help shore up their defense in the absence of key players. Fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to see how he can contribute to the team’s success on the ice.
