Donald Trump departed Mar-a-Lago without needing medical transport

The claim that President-elect Donald Trump was taken from Mar-a-Lago in an ambulance on Nov. 21 is false. A post on social media speculated about ambulances leaving the Florida home, but the Secret Service confirmed that neither Trump nor anyone else under their protection left the property in an ambulance. The ambulances were actually part of Vice President-elect JD Vance’s motorcade. It is common practice for ambulances to trail presidents and officials in motorcades to provide immediate medical care in case of emergencies.

The claim sparked misinformation on social media, with posts mentioning dispatches from pool reporters at Mar-a-Lago. However, Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi clarified that there were no issues or concerns with any Secret Service protectees on the property. The ambulances at Mar-a-Lago had nothing to do with Trump, despite initial rumors.

It is worth noting that Trump, at 78 years old, will be the oldest person elected president when he takes office in 2025. However, the reports about him being taken from his home in an ambulance were deemed false. This misinformation joins a list of debunked claims about Trump, including false reports about bombs at rallies and attempted assassins with a “0-2” record. The social media user who shared the initial post could not be reached for comment.
