$1 million Mass. State Lottery ticket sold at Worcester store

A lucky winner in Worcester claimed a $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery on Monday, purchasing the winning ticket at ABC Mini Market. The prize was from the $4,000,000 Money Bags game, with only one $1 million prize left to be claimed in the game. Additionally, two players claimed $100,000 prizes from the Diamond Deluxe and Millions scratch ticket games, sold at Gas 44 in Raynham and JJ Beverage in Braintree, respectively.

On Monday, a total of 696 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts, including 21 in Springfield, 29 in Worcester, and 55 in Boston. The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a daily list of winning tickets, only including prizes worth more than $600.

The largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this year was worth $1 million a year for life, claimed through a trust on July 10 with the option of receiving a one-time payment of $15.4 million. With several big wins and prizes still up for grabs, the excitement of winning big continues for lottery players in the state.
