On the opposing side, Brock Nelson stood out for the Islanders with two goals and an assist in a losing effort. Despite Nelson’s efforts, the Islanders have struggled recently, losing their second consecutive game and falling to a record of 1-4-1 in their last six games.
The win marked the Bruins’ third under interim coach Joe Sacco, who took over from Jim Montgomery on November 19.
