Sgt. Jeremy Cole of Endicott College, a beloved police officer, tragically lost his life in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95. The public is invited to attend his funeral service at Campbell Funeral Home in Beverly on Monday. Cole was known for his dedication to building community and ensuring everyone was taken care of, especially students at the college. The driver responsible for the crash, Keoma Duarte, has been charged with multiple offenses including motor vehicle homicide and operating under the influence. Duarte’s bail was set at $500,000 and he faces up to 20 years in state prison. New Hampshire officials also plan to bring charges against Duarte. The loss of Sgt. Cole has deeply impacted not only his family and colleagues but also the wider community.
