Local woman Bettie Etienne, 37, tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in Brockton early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of North Main and Battles Streets, with Brockton police responding to a 911 call reporting the collision at around 6:23 a.m. Etienne was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital but was pronounced dead later that day.
