The state finals for field hockey, football, soccer, and volleyball have wrapped up, with several thrilling matchups and impressive performances. In field hockey, Walpole, Somerset Berkley, Watertown, and Uxbridge emerged as state champions in their respective divisions. In football, Xaverian, Catholic Memorial, North Attleboro, Scituate, Shawsheen, Hudson, Uxbridge, and West Boylston clinched state titles in their divisions. The vocational bowl playoffs saw Tri-County and Bay Path victorious in their respective categories.
In boys soccer, Newton North, Oliver Ames, Dover-Sherborn, and Cohasset took home state titles. In girls soccer, Wellesley, Masconomet, Nipmuc, and Sutton emerged victorious. And in volleyball, Newton North, Westborough, Medfield, Ipswich, and Bourne claimed state championships.
Notable results included Xaverian defeating Needham 14-7 in the Division 1 football final, Catholic Memorial overcoming King Philip 39-21 in the Division 2 final, and North Attleboro shutting out Mansfield 35-0 in the Division 3 final. Overall, it was an exciting conclusion to the fall sports season in Massachusetts.
