A deadly Israeli air strike on a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza resulted in at least 26 deaths and over 60 injuries, including women and children. Additionally, Israel laid siege to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya, resulting in around 30 deaths, including four staff members. Witnesses reported Israeli forces opening fire on a Red Crescent ambulance and using drones to target Palestinians inside the hospital. The Palestinian Health Ministry accused Israel of committing war crimes and the World Health Organization condemned the bombings. Israel claims Hamas fighters are using civilian buildings for cover, while Hamas accuses Israel of indiscriminate attacks. The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that hospitals in the north of Gaza are barely functioning due to repeated attacks. Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert believes the Israeli military is using the hospital as a trap to apprehend or kill people. The situation is dire as Gaza’s health system is collapsing amid ongoing attacks by Israel. The international community is urged to intervene and protect civilian lives in the midst of escalating violence in Gaza.
