The allegation came from a woman who previously sued Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming she was raped at an awards show after-party in 2000 when she was 13. The lawsuit was amended to include a new claim that Jay-Z was also involved in the assault.
In a statement released by one of his companies, Jay-Z condemned the allegations as “idiotic” and stated that he had anonymously sued the woman’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, for attempting to blackmail him into a settlement. Buzbee, a personal injury lawyer, has filed numerous sexual assault lawsuits against Combs, who is currently facing federal sex trafficking charges.
Jay-Z expressed his determination not to give in to the alleged blackmail and vowed to expose Buzbee. He emphasized the impact of these accusations on his family and children, expressing his disappointment at having to address the claims with them. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Jay-Z remains resolute in defending himself against what he believes to be a malicious and baseless attack.
