However, competition from other teams like the Mets, Yankees, and Blue Jays is fierce. If Boston misses out on Soto, they plan to pivot and pursue Teoscar Hernandez, who has expressed interest in playing at Fenway Park. Hernandez, who currently plays for the Dodgers and won a World Series with them, has performed well at Fenway in the past. He has hit 14 home runs and driven in 44 runs in 45 career games at the ballpark. While Hernandez prefers to stay with the Dodgers, the opportunity to play for the Red Sox and under manager Alex Cora is enticing to him.
