Bruins and Jets engage in three third period fights in blowout

In a game where the Jets dominated the Bruins, tensions boiled over in the third period with a series of fights breaking out. It all started when Trent Frederic and David Gustafsson engaged in a quick bout, with Frederic landing a decisive right hand that sent Gustafsson to the ice.

The Jets took exception to Frederic, a seasoned fighter, taking on Gustafsson, sparking more aggression between the two teams. Mark Kastelic and Logan Stanley got into it next, exchanging blows before both receiving game misconducts.

The animosity continued as the coaches exchanged words from the benches and Jets captain Adam Lowry began yelling at the Boston bench. Moments later, Lowry and Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov dropped their gloves for a heavyweight fight, with Zadorov eventually pulling Lowry to the ice.

The Bruins ended the game with a total of nine penalties for 37 minutes. Despite the physicality on the ice, the Jets secured a convincing 6-1 victory over the Bruins. The intensity of the game served as a reminder of the passion and competitiveness that can arise in high-stakes matchups, even when the outcome may already be decided.

Overall, the night’s events added an extra layer of excitement to what was already an action-packed game between two competitive teams. The physicality and emotion displayed by both sides showcased the dedication and pride that each team has for the game of hockey.
