Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman revealed his custom Team USA mask for the upcoming NHL’s “4 Nations Face-Off” tournament. The mask features unique designs, including skylines of Boston and Montreal, fighter jets, and an iconic image of U.S. soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima. One standout design on the mask is Will Ferrell’s character, Ricky Bobby, from “Talladega Nights,” along with his famous catchphrase, “shake and bake.”
Swayman, who will be sharing goaltending duties with Connor Hellebuyck and Jake Oettinger, will represent Team USA in the tournament. The exhibition games will start in Montreal on February 12, with the semifinals and championship game at TD Garden on February 17 and 20. Despite his strong performance last season, Swayman faces tough competition from Hellebuyck, who has the lowest goals-allowed average in the NHL, and Oettinger, who ranks seventh in the league. It remains to be seen how Swayman will fare in the tournament as the Bruins take a break for the international competition.
