In a recent interview with Esquire, Seth Rogen addressed the public call-out from former friend James Franco, stating that he was largely unaware of the situation due to his limited consumption of media. The two actors, who met on the show “Freaks and Geeks” in 1999 and collaborated on several comedy hits such as “Pineapple Express,” seemed to have drifted apart, with Franco revealing in a previous interview with Variety that they hadn’t spoken in a while. The rift between the two reportedly began in 2018 when Franco faced allegations of sexual misconduct, leading to a lawsuit settlement later on. Despite the challenges, Franco expressed a desire to move on from the controversy, stating, “It is what it is.” The former friends appear to have gone their separate ways after decades of working together in Hollywood.
