Mike Rosenberg, a community reporter for The Bedford Citizen, tragically passed away after collapsing in a hallway during a high school playoff basketball game he was covering. Director of Athletics at Bedford Public Schools Keith Mangan confirmed the incident, stating that Rosenberg collapsed during halftime and was quickly attended to by first responders. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at Lahey Hospital. At 75 years old, Rosenberg’s sudden death has shocked and saddened the community.
The basketball game was temporarily delayed following Rosenberg’s collapse, and Mangan described the second half of the game as being a blur as everyone was processing the news. Rosenberg was a well-respected member of the community and will be greatly missed. The cause of his collapse and subsequent death has not been publicly disclosed.
