Michigan mother seeks court ruling declaring her 3 missing sons deceased; Find out why.

Tanya Zuvers is asking a judge to declare her three missing sons dead 15 years after they disappeared, believing their father, John Skelton, killed them. The boys were last seen in 2010 and were never found. Skelton denies the allegations but is in prison for other charges. Investigators believe he killed the boys shortly before they were supposed to return to their mother after spending Thanksgiving with him. Skelton previously claimed he gave the boys to a woman named Joann Taylor, but investigators found evidence suggesting otherwise. Skelton is set to be released from prison in November. Zuvers explained that she and Skelton were estranged following a disagreement about moving to Florida, where Skelton has family. Due to her sex offender status from a case in 1998, they decided to remain in Michigan. The judge will rule on whether to declare the boys dead, which would impact their grave markers. The hearing will be livestreamed. If alive today, the boys would be in their 20s. For those in crisis, mental health resources are available through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line for 24/7 support.
