The third eaglet from Jackie and Shadow has hatched.

Jackie and Shadow, a pair of bald eagles whose nest can be watched via webcam in Southern California, welcomed their third eaglet after a few days of waiting. The first two eaglets hatched earlier in the week. The emergence of the third eaglet was captured on camera early on a Saturday morning, with the chick seen breaking through its shell. The organization Friends of Big Bear Valley announced the arrival of the newborn on their Facebook page.

The webcam has been set up in Big Bear Lake Forest since 2016, allowing viewers to follow the eagles’ journey. Jackie and Shadow have become internet sensations, with viewers eagerly awaiting each new hatchling. The pair has had their share of drama in the past, losing eggs in the previous years. However, this year’s trio of eaglets seems to be compensating for the past losses, bringing joy to their fans.

The arrival of the three fluffy chicks was a cause for celebration, with all of them looking healthy, energetic, and ready for their first meal. The newest eaglet, referred to as “Chick #3,” was seen for the first time during the morning feeding session. The community of supporters and followers expressed their happiness at the successful hatching and the growing family of bald eagles.
