David Andrews shares his thoughts on the disappointing departure from the Patriots organization

After undergoing surgery for a torn rotator cuff last season with the intention of playing in 2025, veteran center David Andrews found himself unexpectedly released by the New England Patriots last week. Andrews, who had been with the team since 2015 and won two Super Bowl titles with them, expressed shock and disappointment on his Quick Snap Podcast with Brian Hoyer. The decision to release Andrews came as a surprise to him as he had hoped to recover from his injury and continue playing for the Patriots, especially under the new coaching staff, led by offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Andrews had a history of success in McDaniels’ offense and was looking forward to reuniting with him.

Despite the disappointment, Andrews remains grateful for his time with the Patriots and has no immediate plans to make any drastic changes. He also understands that the team made the decision in the best interest of the football team. Overall, Andrews is thankful for the 10 years he spent with the organization and the community and remains optimistic about the future.
