West Stockbridge Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Sexual Abuse of Teenager
A West Stockbridge man, Frank Twing Sr., was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison with 25 years of supervised release after admitting to sexually abusing a teenager, federal authorities announced. Twing, 33, confessed to sexually abusing a 15-year-old child and producing sexually explicit videos. He also admitted to planning to sexually abuse a 12-year-old child in New York, where he traveled from his Massachusetts home. In addition to his prison sentence, Twing will forfeit the property used to commit the crimes and pay special assessments. After his release, he will be required to register as a sex offender. U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone III of the Northern District of New York stated that justice had been served in this case. The sentencing comes as a reminder of the importance of holding perpetrators of sexual abuse accountable for their actions.
