Twenty-six-year-old Jake Mikalauskis from Braintree, Massachusetts, is participating in the Boston Marathon for the Home for Little Wanderers charity team. Having faced troubles as a teenager and being involved in the juvenile system, Jake found solace and guidance at The Home for Little Wanderers. Now, as a father and resident of Braintree, he is eager to give back to the organization that helped change his life by running the 26.2-mile race.
The Home for Little Wanderers has been supporting at-risk children and families for over 200 years, offering various community-based and residential programs to assist youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, or disrupted family life. With a mission to bring visibility to this impactful organization, Jake is determined to raise awareness about the vital work they do in the lives of thousands of children and families every year.
Through his personal story and journey of growth and redemption, Jake hopes to inspire others and make a positive impact through his participation in the prestigious Boston Marathon.
