Three people are in critical condition after a North Carolina man, Lonneil Mason, shot at Amazon delivery vans and then crashed into three other vehicles. The incident occurred in Lenoir County, North Carolina, and Mason is in critical but stable condition at ECU Health Medical Center. Mason allegedly shot at three delivery vans using two different weapons before crashing into the vehicles. The two women in the SUV that was hit head-on by Mason are now in critical condition. None of the Amazon delivery drivers were injured in the shootings. Mason will be facing multiple charges including attempted first degree murder, shooting into occupied property, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance. The sheriff’s office is asking for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers described the incidents as tragic and emphasized the need for information from any witnesses. The investigation is ongoing as authorities try to determine the motive behind Mason’s actions. Amazon expressed relief that their delivery drivers were unharmed and will cooperate with the investigation.
