Tatum Stars as Celtics Secure Victory on Road Trip
The Boston Celtics continued their winning streak on their road trip with a 129-116 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, with Jayson Tatum leading the charge. Tatum showcased his ability to control the game, finishing just shy of a triple-double with 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
Sam Hauser also made a significant impact, scoring 24 points and hitting eight 3-pointers, while Payton Pritchard, a Portland native, added to the Celtics’ dominance with his stellar performance. Baylor Scheierman showed his potential as a passer and playmaker, adding an interesting dimension to the team’s rotation.
The Celtics’ bigs, Al Horford and Luke Kornet, contributed effectively in the absence of their starting center. With the team now on pace to win 60 games in the regular season, they are in a strong position heading into the playoffs. The Celtics will continue their road trip with upcoming games against the Kings and the Suns as they aim to maintain their impressive form.
