Joe Gatto, star of “Impractical Jokers,” has rebranded his dog rescue shelter, which was previously known as Gatto Pups and Friends, soon after facing allegations of sexual assault and harassment. The shelter has been renamed Cannoli’s Sweet Life Senior Rescue, inspired by Gatto’s senior dog Cannoli, shared with his wife Bessy. The rebranding comes after a TikTok user accused Gatto of sexually assaulting her when she was a teenager, and another woman accused him of sexual harassment during his time on the TV show. Gatto denied the accusations and voluntarily entered an in-patient facility to work on himself following the allegations.
Bessy Gatto, who did not mention her husband in the announcement, expressed the shelter’s continued focus on rescuing senior dogs in need and finding them forever homes. Since its founding in 2022, the rescue shelter has saved over 200 senior dogs, with 135 of them finding loving homes. Gatto, known for naming his dogs after Italian desserts, has often spoken about the importance of adopting rescue animals rather than purchasing from pet stores. The rebranding of the shelter signals a new chapter for Cannoli’s Sweet Life Senior Rescue as they continue their mission of saving senior dogs and finding them homes.
