George Springer hits a home run while Easton Lucas maintains flawless ERA in Toronto’s 6-1 victory over Red Sox at freezing Fenway Park.

In a cold and windy game at Fenway Park, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 6-1 on Tuesday night. George Springer broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with a 404-foot homer, leading the way for the Blue Jays. Easton Lucas continued his impressive performance with 5 1/3 scoreless innings, maintaining a perfect 0.00 ERA.

Tyler Heineman and Bo Bichette also contributed to a four-run inning for Toronto, taking advantage of two walks and two errors by the Red Sox. Garrett Crochet, who started the game for Boston, gave up four runs, with only one earned, on five hits and four walks.

Despite the cold weather with a game-time temperature of 35 degrees and gusts of up to 33 mph, the Blue Jays showed resilience and secured the win. The challenging conditions also saw the Triple-A affiliate game in Worcester being postponed due to similar weather.

The win improves the Blue Jays record to 3-1, with Boston falling to 1-3 on the season. The teams are set to face off again on Wednesday night, with right-hander Kevin Gausman taking the mound for Toronto and Tanner Houck for the Red Sox. Despite the adverse weather conditions, both teams are ready to continue their battle on the field in their pursuit of success this season.
